International Foundation Programme

International StudentsAbout the programme

This is a one-year pre-degree programme for international students. The course is designed to ensure that students are fully prepared to study an undergraduate degree in the UK.

The course consists of three elements:

  • Curriculum Studies
  • English Language and Study Skills
  • Cultural Programme Campus

English Language tuition will assist students achieve the minimum requirement for degree programmes, whilst the Study Skills element will ensure that they are familiar with the range of teaching and learning methods used by Trinity and other universities in the UK. As with all programmes for international students at Trinity, there is a full and varied cultural programme to give you a broad experience. You will live on campus with UK and other international students in a small welcoming environment. By the end of the course you will be able to write essays and feel confident to participate in seminars and lectures.

Entry Requirements: Student - Learning Resources Centre

The minimum entry level is IELTS 4.5 in all sections of the test, but the programme will be challenging for students up to IETLS 5.5.
