Up to:

£200 per year for field trips, conferences, materials, etc
£600 per year available from academic schools
£600 per year for studying through the medium of Welsh or bilingually
£500 for those applying from an FE college
£400 towards the cost of on-campus accommodation
£700 towards facilities at the University nursery
£1000 towards internships / work experience

Additional help for all students from low income families through the National Bursary Scheme

Trinity has a limited number of scholarships available to provide extra financial support for students. Apply now to see if you can get help to make the most of your university experience!

All scholarships are subject to making a successful application through the Scholarships Office, Trinity University College, Carmarthen, SA31 3EP.

Departmental Scholarships

A number of scholarships of up to £1,800 (£600 per year) are available for students in the following academic areas:

  • Computing, Business and Tourism
  • Creative Arts and Humanities
  • Early Years Education
  • Education Studies and Social Inclusion
  • Initial Teacher Education and Training
  • Sport, Health and Outdoor Education
  • Theatr, Cerdd a’r Cyfryngau
  • Theatre and Performance
  • Theology and Religious Studies

Welsh medium and bilingual course Scholarships

Scholarships of up to £1,800 (£600 per year for 120 credits) are available if you study a Welsh medium course, or £50 per 10 credit module for a bilingual course.

FE / HE progression

A number of scholarships of up to £500 are available for students who have completed an appropriate university entry course including Higher National Diplomas/ Certificates at an FE College.

Internships

After you commence your course, you may apply for a scholarship to enable you to work during your summer holidays. You can get up to £1,000 to work in a company or organisation related to you degree studies - giving your CV an extra boost!

Nursery Facilities

Up to £700 may be available for you to spend on nursery facilities at the University Nursery - Y Gamfa Wen. This scholarship is means-tested.

Residential Scholarships

Up to £400 may be available to you towards the cost of on-campus accommodation. This scholarship is means-tested.

National Bursary Scheme

Means-tested bursaries for all students from low income families.

Educational Vouchers

After commencing your course at Trinity, you can apply for vouchers of up to £600 (£200 per year) for a range of course-based and extra-curricular activities including study visits, voice and instrumental coaching, sports equipment and special clothing, international exchanges, and conference attendance.

How do I apply?

Campus

If you normally live in the UK or another EU country then you are eligible to apply for a scholarship. You must return your completed application form before commencing the course.

You must also apply to Trinity as your first choice institution before the end of March and confirm through UCAS that you accept Trinity’s conditional or unconditional offer firmly by the end of June.
